Community Partner Spotlight: Friends of Homeward Bound
Meet our community partners, The Friends of Homeward Bound. This philanthropy group is comprised of dedicated women working to end homelessness in our community.
Founded by great friends pictured above from left to right Kathi Neal, Roseann Dunteman, Tiffanie Leyvas, Patty Sapp, and Suzanne Dickey, this group works throughout the year to promote Homeward Bound’s mission and raise awareness for families facing homelessness.
The Friends of Homeward Bound are the hosts of the beloved ROOFTOP event aimed at breaking the mold of the traditional nonprofit gala, calling it the “un-gala” of the year. In an article with Fabulous Arizona they shared that during a white-water rafting trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, after a discussion of all the traditional parts of a Gala they disliked, ROOFTOP was born. Their goal became to raise money for a good cause without “the stuffy ballroom and being stuck at a table all evening long.”
This year, The Friends of Homeward Bound will be hosting their third ROOFTOP event that features:
- Live music
- Craft cocktails
- A luxe raffle
- Exquisite food stations
- VIP lounge
Making it far from your traditional fundraising gala, this special event will take place under the stars on the glorious rooftop of Mountain Shadows Resort in Paradise Valley on March 31, 2023. Besides offering the attendees an unforgettable night with magnificent views, it will also benefit unhoused families by raising proceeds to benefit Homeward Bound’s Shelter and Community Services Programs. We are incredibly grateful for the Friends of Homeward Bound and their work to serve our unsheltered neighbors.
