Homeward Bound at a Glance - April!
April was quite an exciting month at Homeward Bound! We hosted a resource fair with several community partners who provided information on employment opportunities, clothing resources, continuing education, and more. Our friends at Cox donated and served lunch to all attendees.
Shortly after this action-packed resource fair, the whole campus was inspired by brothers Jacob and Nova, two of our teen program participants, after their impressive desire to give back to their community by hosting an Easter Egg hunt for the younger kids in Youth Programs.
Homeward Bound’s campus also received a visit from our favorite mobile famer’s market, Farm Fresh Mobile Market.
During all the excitement around campus, our Early Childhood Specialists at Strong Foundations Early Learning Center continued to provide the best care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Yesenia, a Strong Foundations Early Learning Center team member, went above and beyond and has been recognized as Homeward Bound’s team member of the month. Yesenia has worked in childcare for over eight years and has recently decided to enroll back into school for social work to further her impact.
