Tax credits reduce your taxes dollar-for-dollar as a credit. In other words, a donation of up to $800 to Homeward Bound ends up costing you $0 because it will be applied as an $800 credit on your state tax return.
Yes! Anyone who files income taxes in Arizona can claim the credit simply by making a contribution to Homeward Bound.
In the same year, you may take advantage of multiple tax credits: the Charitable Tax Credit, the Public School Tax Credit, the Private School Tuition Tax Credit, the Foster Care Credit, and more.
