Homeward Bound, a Valley nonprofit committed to serving homeless families, has received its official accreditation notice by the Council on Accreditation, making it the only agency in Arizona to receive the honor in the Housing Stabilization and Community Living category.
“COA’s program of quality improvement is designed to identify providers that have met high performance standards and have made a commitment to their stakeholders to deliver the very best quality services,” said Council on Accreditation president and CEO Richard Klarberg. “COA is proud to recognize Homeward Bound as one of these outstanding providers, and we wish the very best.”
The accreditation signifies the organization’s high level of service to its staff, board, donors and the community. The process included a detailed review of Homeward Bound’s administration, management and service delivery.
“This is a true testament to the hard work that our staff pours into our organization to ensure quality programs for the families we serve, ” said president and CEO of Homeward Bound Becky Jackson. “I am so proud of the team, who all played a vital role in achieving this amazing accomplishment.”
Homeward Bound serves over 130 families each year with housing, financial planning training, healthy relationship education, self-improvement coaching and more. After entering Homeward Bound, 82 percent of adults obtain employment and 94 percent improve their grades in school.
