Homeward Bound’s mission is to create pathways out of poverty for homeless families ready to make a change. Since our founding in 1990, we have touched the lives of more than 10,000 homeless individuals right here in the Valley.
In 2017, our team was innovative, our supporters moved mountains, and together we made a difference for those who needed it most.

Kala Weinacker joined the Homeward Bound team in 2017 and has been making sure that our donor data is accurate, up to date, and easily accessible. Kala loves working with data and optimizing resources so that our fundraising team can go out and make the biggest impact possible.
Ram Muppirala joined Homeward Bound this year as our new CFO. Ram wears many hats in his new role, from overseeing our yearly budget to implementing systems that will support our growth over the years to come.

Our Intake Coordinator, Nikia Kirkendoll, recently completed her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling. This allowed her to take the National Counselor Examination in November 2017 — which she passed with flying colors!! She is now officially a Licensed Associate Counselor.
